Team Epic Beta Testers! (slightly revised)
Hello, I've decided to form the Team Epic Beta Testers. This is to let your non-TE levels get tested by people from Team Epic only! If you wish to help with the testing process, please say so here.
To get your level tested, all you have to do is:
1. State here (clearly) your level name, and your PSN and that you want your level to be published.
2. At the entrance gate, place the Team Epic lock.
3. Publish your level online with a title like this: "(Level Name) A Team Epic Beta. Include in the description that this a private beta for Team Epic Members only. If you want your levels name to remain secret, just name it: "Super Secret Level- A Team Epic Beta".
4. Now, all members of Team Epic can come and test it out and give you feedback.
AN ALTERNATE WAY:
What if you don't even want people finding out the icon of your level? Here is an alternate method.
1. Create a blank level with a dissolve wall and attach a sticker switch with Team Epic logo to make it dissolve.
2. Place keys to your levels you wish to be tested behind this wall.
3. Publish your level online.
4. Say in this thread your key level name and PSN.
Some Tips:
Place magic mouths stating the theme you are going for, different areas of creation you are focusing on (ie: lights, logic, sound effects).
Place magic mouths stating the known bugs at the sections they occur.
For Testers:
All the testers have to do, is go out, and test out these fellow Team Epic members levels! There's no huge commitment to it, so if the level is to hard for you, or if you're taking an LBP break, don't sweat it!
You can leave some tips in the comments of the level, but most should be left here in this thread. Here is the format for your level reviews. There's no requirement for how much to write for each category, but a few sentences is good! Bugs and ways to improve should be at the top of your list on things to put in here.
CONCEPT: (What the creator was trying to achieve in this level)
VISUALS: (How the level looks)
SOUND: (How well sound is used)
GAMEPLAY: (How well the level plays)
ORIGINALITY: (How original the level is)
FINAL NOTE: (What you think of the level)
RATING: (?/5)
Just copy and paste this template into your post and fill it out.

igor, can you give me some feedback on "The Abandoned Factory"? I just published it locked, along with a level containing the unlock key. Both are located at the South Pole. Just search @jaslow to find it.

Search my PSN.
Search @jaslow.
The first level you must enter is called "Jaslow's Team Epic Beta Room" or something along the lines of that.
In that level is a key to The Abandoned Factory.

Great group you've got here. I suppose I can join as a tester.
I'll play the level you mentioned now, if I can.
(Also, I gave you a kudos for it )

Well, I hopped under some electric, piston activated, dangers. Then it was just a wall. I went around the entire level, but it never worked. And what does an official tester do?

Gives the level a review.
You must have gotten to the part where I stopped building. This is an unfinished build of the level.

Re: Team Epic Beta Testers! (slightly revised)
Ok, I did again search your name and this time had your level in the results, very well
Ok, i help, but who?
The first time I played this foam simply did not want to go down, I can not understand why
This place had a slowdown, this is not very pleasant, what do think about you reduce a little the decorations of this part?
Good move on these platforms, but was this to happen at the end of the jumps?
So ... this is the end, for now? cool, like, I just need to understand why I was in this factory, a story
Nice level for now
Only really need a story:)

Re: Team Epic Beta Testers! (slightly revised)
Thank you for all of your feedback!
igor, there is a glitch with the foam that occurs very rarely. I am looking into the causes. As for the part with the lag, I think it could be caused by the the lights everywhere. I'll try cutting them down. it also could be because I use the theck layer a TON right there. For the platforms, you're supposed to use the three way switches to position them correctly on the fire.
As for the lack of a backstory, I'm still debating whether to put one in. I wanted to tell a mild story without using any text bubbles at all. I think that this would add to the intentionally mysterious atmosphere of the level. It is a planned three-part series of levels, and the only text in them are the small pieces of info given in the description of the level. If you want the story, here it is: (although it is admittedly shallow): You go into this factory as a dare from your friends(a small plot point). The first level ends with you crashing down a lift into the basement of the factory. The second one picks off where the first left off, and has you climbing the factory, looking for an escape route. This second level is much more focused on traps than the puzzling mood of the first. The second one ends with you letting fire come out of a burner, setting the factory ablaze. The final level, titled 'Factory in Flames' has you running through the burning factory, and finally leaving the mysterious place.

Re: Team Epic Beta Testers! (slightly revised)
I guess I'll sign up. I wont have much time to play but after this next week or two I should because ski season is over /
BTW I just published a wakeboard level to try out the water. (It's wet enough) It's pretty much brainless fun but it can be interactive if you want to jump higher. also it has a few prize bubbles scattered throughout the level. Its called LittleBigWakeboard (1 player ver. w/ WATER) I know lame and cheesy with the real water part... but I wanted it to be searchable by water because it appeals to the people who would search that. and thanks to tsfrj the boat shouldn't' flip any more. (got to add to the description now)
